Skyline Math & Science Academy attended the “Mathematics at Target Field” Event. The students got to sit down with the Data Analytics team to learn about the statistics in Baseball. The Assistant General Manager, Dan Adler, asked students questions about mathematics and how it can relate to baseball. Dan was sincerely impressed by Skyline students’ level of questioning throughout the discussion. After the meeting with the analysts, Skyline students learned about the geometry of baseball diamonds, measurement, and perimeter. And finally, students were able to step foot on the field and experience the field just as a professional baseball player does at a game. Over 50 Skyline students attended along with Skyline staff! We are so proud of our students for the way that they positively represented Skyline at this event.
