The Actuarial Foundation’s Math Motivators program is partnering with Skyline Math and Science Academy to improve students’ abilities and confidence in math. The Math Motivators program, which has a national presence, provides free math tutoring to upper elementary, middle, and high school students. Students are paired with college students and other professionals with strong skills in mathematics.

The Math Motivators program’s objective is simple: to help children understand and succeed in mathematics. As much as the teacher tries, there is not enough time to help each student individually during a class period. This is where our tutors come in: they provide support to the teacher and individual attention to the students. Throughout this partnership, students will learn about business careers that use math. Skyline would like students to be exposed to STEM careers early in life to plant the seed that any dream is possible!
